Bronwen Murray is the Executive Director of SAG-AFTRA’s Colorado and New Mexico Locals, which includes Wyoming and El Paso, Texas. She brings to the role a distinctive background spanning political consulting and the entertainment industry.

Murray became eligible to join SAG in 1995 for her role in Disney’s Tom & Huck and has continued performing in film and television (Outer Range, Vengeance, Army of the Dead) while also producing entertainment projects. Her dual careers in politics and the arts reflect her belief in the power of both to shape communities and transform lives.

At the New Mexico Legislature, Murray worked on more than 300 bills. She played a central role in securing landmark reforms, including eliminating out-of-pocket costs for behavioral health treatment. She also advanced the passage of a firearm safe-storage law later recognized by Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House.

Her career includes work on campaigns nationwide, ranging from the 2016 presidential race in New Hampshire to the 2018 U.S. senate race in Nevada and many elections in between. As a consultant, she advised and managed more than forty elections with a rare record of success — winning every one.

She holds a Master of Science from Northwestern University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University. A classically trained opera singer, she is also an avid gardener, crafts barista-worthy drinks on her Rocket Appartamento espresso maker, and is a dedicated cinephile with a passion for classic films and a collection of more than two hundred 4K restorations.
